Method
How the numbers are made
- Reads the chain, not an API guess. Every transaction your wallet signed or received, including transfers into your token accounts, is turned into what actually left and arrived.
- Prices each trade from the trade. A swap against SOL or a stablecoin is valued at the SOL/USD rate of that minute, so a coin's cost is what you really paid.
- FIFO cost basis by default. Each sale is matched to your oldest purchase first (HIFO and LIFO are there if you choose them). Short-term and long-term split at one year.
- Fees and dead coins counted. Network and priority fees are included. Coins with no market left show at $0 and are flagged.
Details and known limits: how we calculate. Checked against our own trading wallet: all 217 recorded trades matched on token amounts and SOL received, and total P&L agreed with the trading log to within $0.20 once rent and fee conventions were lined up.

FAQ
Questions
Do you need my wallet keys or a wallet connection?
No. Never. PnLol only needs your public address, which is already visible to anyone on the blockchain. Nobody legitimate will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key.
Is this tax advice?
No. PnLol is software that does arithmetic on public data. Tax rules for digital assets are complex and some questions are unsettled. Estimates may be wrong. Verify with a tax professional.
Why is my total different from my wallet app?
Wallet apps usually show price change, not cost basis. We use the price you actually traded at, include fees, count SOL itself as property, and match sales first-in first-out. Coins sent in from another wallet have no visible cost here and are flagged.
What does "missing basis" mean?
Tokens arrived by transfer (for example from your other wallet or an airdrop), so the price you paid is not on this wallet. They are counted at $0 cost until you add the real cost; the dashboard lets you do that.
Is it free?
The P&L dashboard and a 25-row preview of every export are free. Full tax-year exports will be a paid, one-time purchase per tax year (the Tax Season Pass).
What do you store?
Public transaction data we fetched (to make repeat lookups fast), and your email only if you join the list. See the privacy policy (draft).
